A couple Sundays ago, Matt was working out in the yard. Peyton and I were inside because we live in Texas and it was June and H-O-T! Well, sweet, little Peyton was being pretty fussy; so, I decided to take her outside for a few minutes because she's always happier outside. As soon as we get out there, she starts to act happier (probably because she got to watch her daddy). It actually felt nice in the shade, there was a nice breeze (yep, it's sad when 98 feels nice, but compared to 103, that is nice!). So, I went to get a blanket, and Peyton and I hung out under the tree and watched Matt work :) I explained to Peyton that what Daddy was doing was called manual labor and it was just for men to do ;)
She enjoyed just lounging around and relaxing.
Until, she discovered the grass!
This was Peyton's first time touching grass :) She liked it!
Being outside was such a hit that we thought she would enjoy playing in her inflatable ducky bath tub in the back yard. Who wouldn't want to splash around in the water on a hot summer day? We had it all set up for her.
But Peyton wouldn't have any of it. I didn't even get a picture of her in the ducky because she immediately started crying. Oh well, maybe next time!
